Track & Trace Team Lead - Nights/Weekends

Job Summary:This position is Sunday through Thursday, 3pm - 12am. The nights/weekends Track & Trace Team Lead is responsible for leading the second and third shift of the track & trace team. Working with supervisors of supporting departments, establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing, internal and external, carriers and drivers on behalf of the company by taking personal and complete responsibility for each contact and by ensuring that all customer tracking requirements are completely met. This position directly reports to the Director of Operations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and train the tracking department with a uniformed method for tracking and sorting. shipments in Clarity and Shipment Manager.Responsible for the training and productivity of the tracking team.Monitoring customer tracking metrics.Processes EDI as required (key account/OEM).Update and maintain transportation management and operation systems.Proactively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solutions.Coordinate deliveries with carriers.Prioritize tasks and workload to focus on issues that directly impact quality and service performance.Adheres to company standards on customer satisfaction, accuracy, and timeliness.Proactively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solutions.Provide complex problem resolutions and provide guidance to others.Utilize specialized industry and company computer systems and procedures, reference. materials/documentation and personal industry knowledge to process client shipments.Maintains regular, timely, and consistent attendance at work.Flexibility to work overtime as needed.Must always demonstrate professional behavior.Required Skills:AS400 experience. Proficient with computer and Microsoft Office applications.Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with carriers and drivers.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to seek alternative solutions.Self-directed, displays initiative and can work independently.Organizational and time management skillsAbility to multi-task in a high-pressure environmentUnderstands the basic concept of supply chain.Team player with proven ability to work under pressure.Self-motivated worker that works well with little direct supervisionStrong attention to detail with excellent follow-up.Excellent communications skills, both written and oralA proven track record in service, attendance, and reliabilityMust be fluent in English.High School Diploma/GED required.
