E-Billing Specialist

McCarter & English LLP is seeking an E-Billing Specialist who may be based in any of our offices (Newark or East Brunswick NJ, Hartford or Stamford CT, New York NY, Boston MA, Philadelphia PA, Wilmington DE, Washington DC, Indianapolis IN, Miami FL). The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $78,000 annually, depending on experience. A minimum of two years e-billing experience is required. Please send your resume and cover letter to the attention of Christine Lydon, Esq., at recruiting@mccarter.com.As an E-Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the e-Billing and Rates Manager and e-Billing team with all on-boarding and client electronic billing platform changes. In addition to supporting the internal administrative needs of the Billing and Collections teams, this position will also be responsible for coordinating e-Billing requirements for various partners, legal assistants, and clients. Requirements include communication of the e-Billing processes, services, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely entry into the firm’s billing system, while maintaining a high-level of customer service.What you do: e-Billing TasksAssist the e-Billing Supervisor and e-Billing team with all electronic on-boarding needs to include, client matter setup and mapping and rate updates/maintenance in the various e-Billing platforms utilized by the firm clientsAssist e-Billing team with troubleshooting e-Billing-related issuesTransmit electronic billing (“e-Billing”) via eBilling Hub and various e-Billing sitesResponsible for recording and maintaining accurate phase, task, and billing codesAssist with e-Billing preparation for more sophisticated e-bills and/or on-demand requirements as available (both manual & electronic)Have direct contact with billing partners to resolve e-Billing-related issuesReprint posted invoices and provide copies, as necessaryProduce ad hoc reports as requestedSubmit Appeals, Accruals and budgets via e-Billing sitesMaintaining and adding timekeepers to restricted lists in Time Entry softwareSend weekly reports to the Billing Team for un-submitted invoices and rejected invoices.Follow up with Billing Team to ensure submission of invoicesPrepare invoices for usage of various e-Billing sitesClient/Attorney RequirementsCoordinate special client billing requests with E-Billing SupervisorCoordinate approval and implementation of special rate arrangements in collaboration with the Pricing, Project Management team and the Billing Compliance teamsRespond in a timely manner to Client Accounting emails and help line callsAssist with preparing client and/or attorney analyses as neededResearch rejected and reduced invoices for resubmission to sites.
