Linde Engineering North America LLCProject Engineering ManagerThe Woodlands, TX or Tonawanda, NY, United States | req28397What you will enjoy doing*In this role, you will act as a critical member of the proposal and/or project management team together with the Project Director or Manager, Project Procurement Manager, and Project Construction ManagerAlso, you will lead Engineering proposal development, defining structure, deliverables, timelines, and quality expectations to ensure optimal, safe, constructible, and cost-effective engineering concepts aligned with client and project requirementsYou will lead multi-disciplinary global engineering efforts in the preparation of technical deliverables in collaboration with Linde Engineering team and external partiesEnsuring the engineering design meets contractual obligations, is safely delivered on time, and within budget with the required quality is part of your roleYou also will develop the Engineering Execution Strategy and provide input to the Project Execution StrategyProactively managing risks and changes to the engineering scope, schedule, and budgeted quantities, as well as coordinating and leading internal and external design reviews with the support of discipline leadsIdentifying and coordinating resolution of technical issues and resource constraints in support of the Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction teams is crucial to your roleYou will ensure alignment of engineering activities with the overall project schedule and project plans by using effective technical coordination internally and with clients or third-party representativesWhat Makes You GreatYou have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and more than fifteen (15) years of experience in LNG, Natural Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, or Industrial Gas Industry as well as an understanding of codes and regulations pertaining to facility design and engineeringAdditionally, you have more than eight (8) years of experience in a Project Engineering or engineering discipline lead roleYou have a proven record in managing a broad range of projects including large ($100MM+) capital investmentsYou are a detail oriented self-starter with ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams in a diverse Global Workshare environmentYou possess effective analytical and problem-solving skillsYou have effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company, including working with Virtual TeamsPast experience in the management of detailed engineering activities of modularized process plants is desirableKnowledge of design reviews, HAZOP / P&ID reviews, customer/supplier interface, and constructionYou have previous experience in working with municipalities on permit submittal requirements and site planningYou have effective change management skills including an awareness of commercial impactsAbility to work within the office, supplier shops, construction, and operating plant environments is requiredWhy you will love working with usLinde Engineering Americas (LEA) is a member of the Linde Engineering Division of Linde plc.
