The ideal candidate must hold a valid CDL Class B (or higher) license.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and prepare loads for deliverySafely deliver building materials to customers and job sitesAssist with loading and unloading materials for deliveries and customer pickupsHelp unload and organize incoming stock in the lumberyardMaintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environmentCommunicate vehicle maintenance needs or issues to the Lumberyard ForemanPerform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, climbing, walking, and handling materialsAdditional DutiesOperate a forklift safely and efficientlyLift and carry 50+ pounds on a regular basisAssist with general yard and warehouse organization and cleaningAttend required safety meetings and training sessionsQualificationsValid drivers license (CDL Class B or higher required)Experience operating boom trucksReliable, punctual, and detail-orientedAbility to perform consistent physical laborStrong work ethic and positive attitudeAbility to follow directions and work independently or as part of a teamGood time management skillsExperience & SkillsAbility to safely use hand and power toolsFamiliarity with building materials and lumberyard operations preferredAbility to learn and accurately read internal paperwork (e.g., Spruce system)Basic problem-solving abilitiesScheduleFull-time, Monday through Friday7:00 AM 3:30 PMMust be able to commute to or relocate to Rochester, MNCompensationPay based on experienceSubstance Abuse TestingDue to the safety and/or security sensitive nature of this classification, individuals shall be subject to pre-employment or pre-placement alcohol, drug and/or controlled substance testing as outlined in the handbook. Certain positions within this class are subject to DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing as outlined in 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 382 (by assignment).
