This isn’t a clipboard-only role. You’ll be in the field - walking sites, training crews, and stepping in when something doesn’t look right.What You’ll Actually DoYou’ll be the go-to safety expert on-site, working with contractors, GCs, and client teams to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.In the field:Conduct job site safety audits (planned + unannounced)Identify hazards and hold teams accountable to OSHA and site standardsReview JHAs, AHAs, and pre-task plansTraining & coaching:Lead OSHA training, toolbox talks, and safety orientationsDeliver CPR/First Aid/AED certification trainingTrain and certify operators on lifts, forklifts, and other equipmentWhen things go sideways:Respond to incidents and near missesLead investigations and determine root causeSupport clients through OSHA inspections and auditsBeyond the job site:Help clients build and improve safety programsAct as a trusted advisor, not just an enforcerProvide real-world, practical safety guidance that actually sticksWhat It TakesThis role isn’t for everyone. You’ll do well here if you:Have 5+ years in construction safety (not general industry)Hold OSHA 500 & 510 certificationsAre a certified CPR/First Aid/AED InstructorCan train crews and communicate clearly, both on-site and in reportsKnow OSHA 29 CFR 1926 like it’s your playbookAre comfortable working in active construction environments (heights, weather, mud, all of it)What Gives You an EdgeCHST, CSP, ASP, or STS-C certificationsExperience across multiple job sites or clientsAdditional equipment certifications (rigging, crane, etc.)Spanish bilingualWhat This Role Is (and Isn’t)Field-based, hands-on, high-impactClient-facing and relationship-drivenA mix of enforcement, coaching, and problem-solvingNot a desk jobNot internal-only safetyNot for someone new to constructionCompensation & PerksCompetitive salary based on experienceBenefits package (health, retirement, PTO, etc.)Ongoing training and certification supportCompany-issued equipment
