Site Safety Lead - National Travel

You’ll work directly with project teams, safety technicians, subcontractors, and clients to keep safety front and center on every task.Key responsibilities include:Leading daily on-site safety execution for Interstates crews and electrical subcontractors.Providing field leadership and coordination for assigned Safety Technicians.Conducting site audits, inspections, and safety observations, documenting findings and supporting corrective actions.Enforcing Interstates’ safety policies and client safety requirements across the project.Supporting critical safety systems such as LOTO, electrical safety practices, and commissioning controls.Participating in client meetings, walkthroughs, and safety audits as the primary safety representative for the electrical scope.Supporting incident response, investigations, and follow-up actions with safety and project leadership.Leading safety onboarding, training, and orientation for employees and subcontractors.Exercising stop-work authority when safety conditions require it.Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.BCSP Safety certification such as CHST, ASP, CSP, or SMPMinimum of five years of construction or industrial safety experience.Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards, including successful completion of the OSHA Authorized Instructor Course #500 for Construction.Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and electrical safety standards.Proven ability to execute safety programs in active construction environments.Demonstrated ability to provide working leadership while operating within a field-based project team.Strong communication skills with craft personnel, supervisors, clients, and subcontractors.Successful performance as a Safety Technician or in an equivalent safety leadership role.Experience supporting complex construction projects, preferably large-scale or data center environments.Ability to obtain all client-required safety certifications and site-specific qualifications prior to assignment.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing site demands.CompensationCompensation is commensurate with experience and may vary based on skill level, certifications, and project responsibilities.Bonus potentialPer diem (as applicable)Opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation growthWhy Interstates?We describe our culture as family-like, and we mean it.You’re treated as an individual—not a numberSupportive co-workers who genuinely careFlexible scheduling when project demands allowTeam gatherings, volunteer opportunities, and community involvementClear advancement pathways within safety and leadershipOur Why:Providing opportunities for our peopleMaking a difference with our clientsPursuing a better wayBenefits401(k) with company matchHealth, Dental, and Vision insuranceShort & Long-Term Disability + Group Life InsurancePaid Time Off & Holiday PayBonus incentives and merit increasesCompany discount programCareer coaching and professional developmentAdvancement opportunities aligned with long-term goals
