QA Inspector- 2nd Shift

Quality Assurance Inspector 2ndThe Quality Assurance Inspector 2nd is responsible for ensuring the quality of products through thorough assessment and analyses using inspection equipment, standards, and guidelines.Create documentationRead and interpret blueprintsInspect parts using inspection equipmentCreate rework ordersAssist in production, material handling, and machiningResearch and purchase inspection equipmentPerform in-process inspections as neededPerform other duties as assigned.The 2nd shift is Monday-Thursday, 2:30pm-1:00am. Shift differential of 15% included. Overtime occurs as needed. The pay for this position is $24-$30/hour.Education / ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent2-4 years experience in inspection or working in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of Microsoft Office especially ExcelBasic math skills (standard and metric)Basic knowledge of hand tools and power toolsAbility to follow work instructions accuratelyAbility to do accurate work at a rapid paceAbility to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal)Ability to work well independently as well as with othersHave attention to detailAbility to follow all safety rulesIntermediate understanding of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)Knowledge of alternative inspection methodsAbility to determine best inspection methodAbility to research and purchase inspection equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical data, instruction manuals, test procedures, etc.Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancingAbility to think analytically and problem solveAbility to effectively manage one's own timeAbility to exhibit high integrityPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
