Serving patients across California and Nevada, our team integrates advanced therapies such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Ketamine Therapy with pharmacologic treatment and evidence-based psychotherapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).Empathy is not just part of our name — it is the foundation of how we care for every patient.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient CareProvide compassionate psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapyIncorporate innovative interventional treatments including Accelerated TMS-assisted psychotherapy and ketamine-assisted psychotherapyEmpathic ApproachFoster strong patient relationships through empathetic listening and understandingUphold each patient's humanity as paramount and demonstrate compassion in every interactionCollaborationWork closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plansIntegrate compassionate care with evidence-based treatment approaches to achieve optimal patient outcomesProfessional DevelopmentEngage in continuous learning in interventional brain medicine and psychotherapyStrengthen clinical expertise and therapeutic relationships through ongoing professional growthPopulation FocusProvide care for adolescents (ages 13+) and adults requiring treatment for conditions including:PTSDOCDBipolar disorderAnxiety disordersDepressionPanic disordersAge-related cognitive declineCraving and overconsumption conditionsExperience & CredentialsPsychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or another recognized certifying bodyCurrent California Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensureFull practice authority preferred, or ability to obtain a collaborating physician upon hireDemonstrated experience providing quality psychiatric care in an outpatient clinical settingProficiency in mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication managementCME-approved training in psychotherapy is a plusAbility to provide psychotherapeutic interventions using modalities such as:Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)Willingness to undergo specialized training in interventional treatment modalities including:Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)Ketamine therapyAcceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)Key CharacteristicsStrong commitment to empathy and compassion in all aspects of patient careA "listen first" approach in patient and team interactionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and internal staffMeticulous attention to detailStrong critical thinking and analytical skills to assess patient needs and develop effective treatment plansCommitment to continuous learning and openness to constructive feedback as part of ongoing professional developmentPhysical RequirementsVisual Acuity: Adequate vision to monitor patient responses and review medical documentationAuditory Ability: Ability to hear and respond to patient communicationCommunication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, colleagues, and referral sourcesManual Dexterity: Ability to perform duties using computer systems and phone equipmentCompensation:$160,000 – $185,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.*Total compensation is estimated at approximately $177,000 – $205,000 annually, including benefits such as medical coverage and paid time off.Benefits include:Flexible health coverage benefit (ICHRA)401(k)Paid time offPaid holidaysMalpractice coverage reimbursementCME support for interventional brain medicine trainingTraining and mentorship in interventional psychiatry, including TMS and ketamine therapy Empathy MindCare is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
