Installation TechnicianThis position involves the layout, wiring, and mounting of hydraulics, electronics, and PTOs on custom truck bodies. The role includes setting up and operating machines to cut, bend, saw, and punch steel into custom parts needed for body mounting. Proficiency in using overhead chain hoists, forklifts, handcarts, and various hand and power tools is necessary.ResponsibilitiesPerform layout, wiring, and mounting of hydraulics, electronics, and PTOs on custom truck bodies.Set up and operate machines to cut, bend, saw, and punch steel into custom parts needed for body mounting.Utilize overhead chain hoists, forklifts, handcarts, and other hand and power tools effectively.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical assembly, wiring, and hydraulics.Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.Adhere to safety protocols while working with heavy machinery and equipment.Essential SkillsMechanical assembly and wiringHydraulics and fabricationAbility to read blueprintsExperience with power tools and hand toolsBasic math skills for accurate machine setup and operationAbility to troubleshoot production issuesAdditional Skills & QualificationsSix months experience with heavy installation, preferably on vehiclesBasic understanding of hydraulics, PTO, frames, pumps, electrical controls, and wiringPreferred experience with hand plasma and wire feed weldingPhysical ability to pick, push, and move objects up to 50 lbsCapability to bend, twist, carry, work overhead, kneel, crouch, and climbAbility to stand on concrete floor wearing steel-toed shoes throughout the shiftJoin a team that values precision, craftsmanship, and innovation. Equipped with large overhead cranes, the facility offers good ventilation throughout. The heavy industrial atmosphere includes exposure to grease, oil, heat, humidity, occasionally cramped quarters, and possibly wet conditions. Physical requirements include climbing ladders and using creepers under chassis. Steel-toed shoes are required to navigate the concrete floor safely.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKE CRYSTAL, MN.The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
