Chief Human Resources Officer

Role OverviewThe Head of Human Resources is the senior executive accountable for leading and scaling the organization’s people function. This role serves as a member of the executive leadership team and partners closely with senior leaders to shape workforce strategy, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and build a high‑performance culture across a multi‑site, growing enterprise.This position provides end‑to‑end leadership for HR strategy and execution across manufacturing locations and distributed employees nationwide. The ideal candidate brings broad HR expertise, a strong business mindset, and experience building HR infrastructure in complex, fast‑growing environments.Strategic Leadership & Business PartnershipServe as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on organizational strategy, workforce planning, and people‑related business decisionsTranslate business objectives into enterprise‑wide HR strategies aligned with both near‑term operating plans and long‑range growth goalsInfluence and guide leadership through periods of transformation, scale, and organizational changeWorkforce Planning & Organizational EffectivenessAssess organizational structures and talent capabilities, recommending data‑driven improvements to enhance performance and engagementLead workforce planning, succession planning, and talent continuity initiatives to ensure business readinessDrive organizational design efforts that support agility, accountability, and long‑term scalabilityTalent, Rewards & HR InfrastructureOwn enterprise strategies for talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and total rewardsEstablish and maintain compensation and incentive frameworks, including base pay, bonus programs, and equity participationDesign and oversee comprehensive benefits offerings, including health and welfare, retirement, and wellness programsProvide strategic oversight of HRIS platforms and HR technology tools to enhance data integrity, analytics, and employee experienceTalent Development & Performance ManagementBuild leadership development and enterprise talent programs that strengthen internal pipelines and bench strengthDefine and evolve performance management philosophies and frameworks that drive accountability and resultsChampion learning and development initiatives that build core capabilities and support long‑term growthHR Enterprise Leadership & GovernanceLead HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence to ensure consistent, high‑quality service delivery across the organizationDirect enterprise‑wide HR initiatives, transformation efforts, and cross‑functional projectsEnsure full compliance with all employment laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policiesPartner with leaders to navigate complex employee relations and labor matters with discretion and sound judgmentMaintain the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalismQualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of progressive experience in human resources or Graduate degree with 13 years of progressive experience in human resources; Prior experience as an HR business partner is required.Aerospace Defense is required. Preferred Additional Skills: Requires expert knowledge of HR functions.Proven experience driving strategies and results in change management, performance management, employee engagement and retention, staffing, compensation, talent management, and succession planning.In-depth understanding of employment law and applicable state requirements.Extensive experience as an HR Business Partner with progressively increasing scope and responsibility, ideally within a matrix and government contracting environment.Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, coaching, and consulting skills.Highly adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Proven ability to collaborate in a team environment as well as operate independently.High degree of professional integrity and confidentiality, with a strong attention to detail.Experience supporting a full P&L (all functions to include manufacturing) and/or distributed employee groups as an HR business partner.Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to influence and drive HR initiatives within a complex, matrixed organization.Demonstrated experience delivering measurable results, leveraging HR metrics and reporting out on progress regularly.Track record of building strong business relationships with senior executives and business leaders.Project management experience leading teams to address complex issues.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong presentation skills with experience delivering presentations to all levels of the organization.Ability to expertly utilize MS Office software products like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to analyze data and leverage that data to influence senior level customers and HR function.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, which requires US Citizenship.Ability to travel as needed.
