The coach will be responsible for planning and conducting practices, teaching fundamental basketball skills, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship, and coaching games during the season.Examples of DutiesPlan and lead engaging, age-appropriate basketball practicesTeach fundamental skills including dribbling, shooting, passing, defense, and game strategy.Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that emphasizes respect, effort, and sportsmanshipManage team logistics including communication with players and parentsServe as a role model for youth athletes, demonstrating integrity, enthusiasm, and leadershipEnsure all safety protocols are followed during practices and events.QualificationsPrevious basketball experience (travel or recreational) is required.Experience working with children, particularly preschool - 8th gradeStrong communication and interpersonal skillsMust be 16 years or olderEnthusiastic, positive attitude with a strong desire to mentor young athletes
