Third Act: A Purposeful Retirement - Digital Literacy

Third Act: A Purposeful Retirement - Digital LiteracyThird Act: A Purposeful Retirement is a dynamic AmeriCorps program at the Center for Modern Aging Princeton (CMAP) that empowers older adults to live with purpose, connection, and dignity. The Corps fosters purpose, self-worth, and new friendships. • Digital Literacy Training Program: Members lead digital learning at CMAP's Technology Learning Center (TLC) and partner sites, helping older adults use tablets, email, video calls, and online tools-bridging the digital divide and enabling connection. • GrandPals Intergenerational Program: Through weekly sessions, members connect older adults with elementary school students for shared reading and storytelling-fostering respect, learning, and joyful companionship across generations. • CMAP Socialization Programs: Members support a wide array of social opportunities including classes, fitness, caregiver groups, cultural outings, and arts events, ensuring inclusive and meaningful engagement for all older adults.
