Software Engineer

Job Title: Ninox Software Developer (TypeScript / JavaScript / AWS) Role Summary We are looking for a Ninox-focused software developer to design, build, and maintain custom business applications using Ninox, TypeScript/JavaScript, deployed on an AWS infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for translating operational workflows into robust database structures, automations, and integrations that are secure, reliable, and easy for non-technical users to work with. Key Responsibilities Application Development in Ninox Design and implement Ninox databases, tables, forms, views, and dashboards. Write and maintain TruScript logic for calculations, validations, triggers, and workflow automation. Optimize existing Ninox apps for performance, simplicity, and maintainability. Automation & Integration Develop integrations between Ninox and other systems (APIs, webhooks, third-party tools). Build and maintain scripts/services (often in JavaScript or Node.js) to sync data with external systems. Implement automated data imports/exports, scheduled tasks, and reports. AWS Infrastructure Work with AWS services (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch) to deploy, monitor, and secure Ninox-related components. Collaborate on backup, disaster recovery, and environment management (dev/test/prod). Assist with performance tuning and cost optimization of cloud resources. Quality, Security, and Documentation Write clean, well-structured code with clear comments and version control (Git). Implement access controls, data protection, and logging consistent with security and privacy standards. Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and admin runbooks. Provide support to internal users: troubleshooting, bug fixing, and small enhancements. Collaboration Work closely with operations, clinical/administrative staff, and leadership to understand workflow requirements. Translate user needs into structured requirements and practical Ninox solutions. Participate in planning sessions to prioritize features and improvements. Required Qualifications Hands-on Ninox experience, including: Building multi-table applications with relationships, lookups, and complex views. Writing TruScript for formulas, triggers, buttons, and workflows. Strong JavaScript skills (browser and/or Node.js). Practical experience with AWS (at least some of: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, or similar). Solid understanding of relational data modeling and database best practices. Experience integrating systems via REST APIs, webhooks, or similar mechanisms. Comfortable using Git and standard development tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience with: Ninox on-premise / Docker deployments. Healthcare, legal, finance, or other regulated environments. Role-based access control and security best practices (HIPAA, SOC2 concepts, etc.). Background in business process design, workflow optimization, or operations. Familiarity with scripting in other languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
