Teacher for the Visually Impaired | House Springs, Missouri

A full-semester contract position is available for an experienced Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support K-12 students across multiple locations. This role is focused on delivering specialized education to visually impaired students, ensuring they receive tailored instruction and support to access the curriculum effectively.Responsibilities:Provide direct instruction and support to visually impaired students in K-12 settingsDevelop and adapt educational materials and strategies specific to the needs of students with visual impairmentsCollaborate with regular classroom teachers, specialists, and families to create inclusive learning environmentsConduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordinglyMaintain thorough documentation of student goals, progress, and accommodationsQualifications:Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) requiredExperience working with visually impaired students in a K-12 educational settingAbility to travel to multiple school locations within the regionStrong collaboration and communication skillsFlexibility to work part-time hours with adaptable scheduling to meet student needsWill not accept VOCO candidates, please ensure certification aligns with position requirementsLocation: House Springs, MO, with placements at multiple school sitesThis position offers a flexible part-time schedule, ideal for educators looking to provide meaningful support to visually impaired students while accommodating personal availability.
