Maintenance & Facilities Manager Dubuque, IA
Maintenance ManagerOversee and optimize maintenance activities to maximize production uptime, safety, and equipment reliability at our Dubuque, IA Assembly plant. Lead a team of technicians, manage maintenance systems, and collaborate with operations and engineering for continuous improvement.Primary Responsibilities:Plan, organize, and direct preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure operational efficiency.Supervise daily repairs, inspections, and special project tasks across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Oversee building upkeep—repairs, HVAC, grounds, janitorial—ensuring safe and compliant facilities.Lead, mentor, and evaluate maintenance technicians; recruit and train to build a high-performing team.Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement; conduct regular safety and training sessions.Develop and manage preventive maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.Track and maintain work orders, equipment history, spares inventory, and KPIs.Manage spare parts stock—optimize inventory levels and reduce obsolescence.Collaborate on process, reliability, and installation improvements with engineering and production teams.Track performance metrics (PM compliance, cost control, uptime) and recommend improvements.Develop and manage maintenance budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.Review and enforce safety protocols—LOTO, PPE usage—and document compliance activities.Coordinate vendor relationships for parts, service, and contract work; evaluate performance and quotes.Qualification and Skill Requirements:4-year degree in engineering, technology, management, or equivalent experienceExperience with world-class manufacturing practices (TPM, 5S, Lean, etc.)Maintenance management experience desiredStrong coaching and people development skillsStrong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groupAble to develop and maintain a respectful and safe work environmentPay Range: $91,059.00 - $141,141.00Culture and Benefits:At Andersen, we believe our people are at the heart of everything we do.
