About the OpportunitySpecialized Recruiting Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for a confidential opportunity with a manufacturing company in Northeast Iowa. This role is responsible for leading the maintenance department and ensuring all facilities and production equipment operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards.The Maintenance Manager will oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, lead a maintenance team, and partner cross-functionally with operations and EHS to support plant performance and continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesLead, develop, and manage the maintenance team including hiring, training, performance management, and succession planningEstablish shift coverage and ensure adequate maintenance support across all operationsCollaborate closely with Plant Manager and operations leadershipOversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliabilityPrioritize and manage critical equipment repairs across the facilityEnsure timely troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issuesCoordinate subcontracted maintenance work and outside service providersPartner with EHS to maintain a safe and compliant work environmentEnsure adherence to safety standards, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirementsSupport continuous improvement of maintenance processes and documentationDevelop, manage, and track maintenance department budgetMonitor and report key maintenance KPIs and performance metricsMaintain vendor relationships and support procurement of parts and suppliesEnsure adequate inventory levels to support operational needsImplement and improve maintenance work instructions and documentation systemsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field preferredOR 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentMinimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or operationsProven success managing hourly and/or salaried teamsExperience managing departmental budgets and maintenance KPIsStrong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systemsExperience with industrial electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
