Location & commitments
PT role based at our Greenville (other) location, no more than 20 hours a week.
Supervision Received: Reports to Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Manager, Chief Operations Officer and to Dr. Mark Warren.
Supervision Exercised: Specific day to day supervision of all clinical research patients and protocols under the direction of Dr. Mark Warren.
Typical Physical Demands Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. Requires origination of forms and data entry for sponsors’ protocol. May require traveling to review specific protocols including air and land transportation.
Typical Working Conditions:
Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
About the role
Provides professional supervision and care for clinical patients following established standards and practices and follows specific protocols for corporate sponsors.
Responsibilities
Data entry into EDC.
Creation of source documents.
Prep for clinical trial visits.
Printing, filing essential documents.
Candidate requirements
Responsible for greeting, welcoming and assisting patients, securing accurate and up to date patient information, collecting patient balances and copayments at the time of service, ensuring prompt service at the point of check in/out, and promoting positive workplace with other departments within Physicians East.
High School diploma required. One or more years of secretarial/medical assistant experience. Associate degree preferred.
