Customer Service Representative
Job Summary:We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our DME team. The ideal candidate will assist patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies with durable medical equipment orders, and general support while ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with healthcare regulations.Responsibilities:Answer incoming calls and assist patients with DME inquiriesProcess orders for medical equipment and suppliesVerify insurance eligibility and benefitsMaintain accurate patient records in the systemEducate patients on equipment use, policies, and proceduresResolve customer concerns in a professional and timely mannerFollow HIPAA guidelines and company policiesRequirements:Previous customer service or healthcare experience preferredExperience in DME, medical office, or insurance verification is a plusStrong communication and phone skillsBasic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processesAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with computers, EMR systems, and Microsoft OfficeStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insuranceExperience with prior authorizations and claims processingBilingual skills are a plusSkills:Excellent customer serviceAttention to detailTeamwork and professionalismTime managementData entry accuracy
