HRIS Operations Manager

Position OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced HRIS Operations Manager to support and optimize HR systems, processes, compliance initiatives, and operational workflows. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise in Workday, HR operations knowledge, project management capabilities, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will serve as a key partner across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and leadership teams to ensure operational excellence, data integrity, compliance, and continuous process improvement.This position will play a critical role in aligning HR technology and operational practices with organizational objectives while driving scalable and efficient HR processes.Key ResponsibilitiesHR Operations & ComplianceConduct regular audits of HR processes, policies, and practices to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and recommend process improvements.Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries, audits, and reporting requirements.Oversee state and federal regulatory filings and ensure timely and accurate submissions.Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows, operational efficiency, and employee experience.HRIS & Systems ManagementServe as a subject matter expert for Workday and other HR systems.Partner with IT teams and third-party vendors to manage system upgrades, integrations, troubleshooting, data integrity, and system performance.Support system configuration, testing, training, and ongoing enhancements.Ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of HR and payroll data.Project & Program ManagementLead HRIS and HR Operations project governance, including defining roles, responsibilities, timelines, and approval processes.Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, deliverables, risks, and milestones to ensure successful execution.Provide centralized reporting and updates to leadership and key stakeholders.Document lessons learned and incorporate continuous improvement strategies into future initiatives.Collaborate cross-functionally to align projects with organizational goals and priorities.Reporting & AnalyticsCollect, analyze, and report on HR metrics and workforce data to support strategic decision-making.Develop and maintain interactive dashboards that provide real-time insights into workforce trends, compliance metrics, turnover, engagement, and operational performance.Analyze data trends and present actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.Streamline reporting processes for compliance audits, client requirements, and internal reporting needs.Payroll SupportServe as the internal liaison for outsourced payroll processing vendors.Oversee payroll pre-processing activities, including timecard review, reconciliation, and validation of hours worked.Perform payroll audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.Support post-payroll activities, including payroll balancing, funding coordination, and reporting.Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues and maintain compliance with organizational policies.QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.4+ years of progressive HR experience.2+ years of hands-on Workday experience.Strong understanding of HR operations, payroll processes, compliance, and HR systems.Experience managing projects, system implementations, or operational initiatives.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work onsite in the Notre Dame, Indiana area, approximately 20% as needed.Compensation & BenefitsBase salary $100,000 – $130,000 based on experienceAnnual bonus eligibilityComprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and additional perksWhy choose Addison Group?Pay: We negotiate high salaries using US Bureau of Labor StatisticsBenefits & Bonuses: You are eligible for medical, dental, vision insurance benefits, 401K, and monetary bonusesPermanent Employment: Many of Addison’s Administrative job openings lead to potential permanent employmentConnections: You connect directly with hiring managers from renowned organizationsOptions: You are presented multiple employment options near your homeProfessional Development: You are provided hiring process advice, resume revision, and employment term negotiationAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
