Communications and Events Specialist Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)ContractRate Range: $20-$25/hrKey ResponsibilitiesCommunications & Content DevelopmentDraft, edit, and refine internal communications for leadership and employee audiencesEnsure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with organizational prioritiesSupport development of materials for leadership meetings, forums, and enterprise-wide communicationsEvent Communications & CoordinationSupport execution of large internal events, including:Leadership meetingsOpen forumsAll-employee eventsAssist with:Agenda developmentCreation of communication materialsCoordination with Event Services and AV teamsServe as a strategic communications partner in event execution, beyond logistics supportProject & Stakeholder ManagementManage multiple priorities and deadlines across communications and event initiativesCollaborate with leadership, communications teams, and cross-functional partnersDemonstrate strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills in a dynamic environmentDepartmental Tools & Process SupportSupport maintenance and enhancement of centralized communications tools, including:Shared calendarsKey messaging repositoriesMedia tracking resourcesContribute to process improvements and drive adoption of communication tools and best practicesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field3–5 years of experience in communications, corporate communications, or program supportStrong writing and editing skills (required)Experience supporting large programs, initiatives, or eventsPreferred QualificationsExperience in internal communications within a corporate environmentFamiliarity with tools such as Airtable or similar platformsTechnical SkillsMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Microsoft TeamsCollaboration and content management toolsKey CompetenciesStrong written and verbal communication skillsOrganizational and project management expertiseAbility to prioritize and multitask effectivelyExecutive presence and professionalismAdaptability in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
