About The RoleThe Vice President, State Product Management is a senior leader within the Product organization, reporting directly to the SVP, Product Management.This role serves as the accountable product leader for assigned state portfolios, with full ownership of state-level P&L performance, including growth, profitability, and retention.The Vice President defines and leads the state-level portfolio strategy required to maximize growth while delivering sustainable performance. This includes setting state-specific growth and profitability priorities, determining competitive positioning, sequencing pricing and underwriting actions, and ensuring disciplined execution of product and rate initiatives to achieve targeted outcomes.What You’ll DoState Portfolio Leadership and P&L AccountabilityOwn end-to-end performance of assigned state portfoliosEstablish and deliver against annual growth, profitability, and retention objectivesPrioritize and sequence portfolio actions across rate, underwriting, appetite, forms, and guidelinesMaintain a structured performance review cadence while establishing clear accountability with cross functional stakeholders for resultsIdentify and respond to emerging trends proactivelyStrategy Execution and GovernanceTranslate national product direction into state-specific action plansDrive consistent and disciplined implementation of product initiativesEnsure clear ownership, timelines, and cross-functional alignment for all major initiativesInstitutionalize execution playbooks and feedback loops to refine both state and national strategy over time Regulatory Strategy and ExcellenceDevelop forward-looking state filing strategies aligned to portfolio objectivesPartner closely with Legal, Compliance, and Actuarial to ensure well-supported, high-quality submissionsMaintain proactive and collaborative engagement with regulatorsEnsure filings clearly articulate value to members and reflect market conditionsEnterprise Integration and Market IntelligenceIntegrate insights across Underwriting, Claims, Distribution, Risk Management, and Actuarial to inform state-level decisionsHelp steer field strategies through data-driven portfolio insights Leverage competitive intelligence and local market analysis to inform positioningEnsure product offerings reflect competitive dynamics, member expectations, and broker needs What We’re Looking For15+ years of experience in Personal Lines insurance, including significant portfolio, product, or actuarial leadership responsibilityDemonstrated experience owning and managing P&L performanceStrong understanding of multi-state regulatory environmentsProven ability to translate strategy into measurable performance outcomesExceptional analytical capability and executive judgmentAbility to influence and align senior leaders across functionsHighest level of integrity and accountabilityHigh Net Worth Personal Lines experience preferred‌What We DoWe're a member-owned property and casualty insurer designed exclusively for financially successful families and driven by a purpose of doing what is right for our members.
