Position Description:
Develop Python scripts for geocoding workflows using ArcPy and integrate with SQL Server databases and Esri geodatabases Build front-end tools and map interfaces using JavaScript (Esri ArcGIS Maps SDK).
Design and optimize SQL Server databases for spatial and non-spatial data.
Create RESTful APIs or tools using .NET for data integration and automation.
Perform spatial analysis and handle geospatial datasets.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Skills Required:
Proven experience with Python and ArcPy for GIS tasks.
Proficiency in Esri JavaScript Maps SDK and GIS web mapping APIs.
Strong SQL Server skills Experience with ASP.NET development (C# or VB.NET).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Ability to combine Python, Esri JavaScript Maps SDK, .NET, and SQL Server into a cohesive geocoding solution
Strong understanding of Python syntax and libraries.
Experience with error handling, debugging, and optimization.
Proficient with ArcPy for geoprocessing/geocoding data in ArcGIS geodatabases
Experience working with Esri data formats (geodatabases, feature classes).
Web Development
Familiarity with JavaScript for front-end and geospatial web applications.
Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries.
Experience with Esri ArcGIS Maps SDK
Ability to integrate published geocoding/geoprocessing services into Python scripts, interactive web applications, other tools
Experience with SQL Server, including database design, queries, and optimization.
Knowledge of T-SQL for writing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
Skills in connecting Python/ArcPy scripts and JavaScript apps to SQL Server databases.
(Priority) -Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) (Priority)
HTTP Protocol and Web Request Lifecycle
In-depth understanding of HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) and request-response models.
Knowledge of how web servers process and route requests to handlers.
Web Frameworks and Technologies
Proficiency in server-side frameworks like ASP.NET, Flask, and Django.
Familiarity with middleware, routing, and web handler concepts.
Database Integration
Knowledge of connecting web handlers to relational databases (SQL Server) and retrieving/managing data.
API Design and Implementation
Experience in creating RESTful APIs and processing API calls with web handlers.
Version Control - Experience with Git for source control and collaboration.
Best Practices - Writing clean, modular, and well-documented code.
Cross-Technology Integration: Ability to combine Python, Esri JavaScript Maps SDK, .NET, and SQL Server into a cohesive geocoding solution
