This role will focus on building and scaling high‑quality data platforms, curated data sets, and analytical experiences (dashboards, reports, self‑service tools) that enable stakeholders to access trusted, timely insights.You will act as a critical liaison between business stakeholders (e.g., Investment, Capital Solutions, Finance, Human Capital), data engineers, BI developers, and application teams, translating business needs into data products with clear outcomes and measurable value. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Project/Product Management.Responsibilities Product strategy & roadmapDefine and own the product vision and multi‑release roadmap for GA’s core data and analytics platforms and products, aligned to firm and departmental prioritiesTranslate business goals into clear problem statements, hypotheses, and outcome‑oriented use cases for data products (e.g., portfolio analytics, fundraising and investor reporting, operational dashboards)Partner with technology leadership to make build vs buy decisions, evaluate third‑party tools, and shape the overall data architecture and product strategyRequirements, backlog, and stakeholder engagementServe as the primary point of contact for stakeholders to capture, refine, and prioritize enhancements and new data product requestsFacilitate requirement sessions, translate business needs into well‑structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and maintain a transparent, prioritized backlog in tools such as JiraCommunicate roadmap, release plans, and changes to stakeholders; use these to inform backlog prioritization and investment decisionsPartner with business teams to embed analytics into core workflows and decision processes, including training and change management to drive adoptionContinuously gather feedback, analyze usage patterns, and iterate on product features, UX, and documentation to improve usability and valueQualifications Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in a quantitative, business, or technology field is a plus10+ years of experience in product management or closely related roles, with a focus on data platforms, analytics, or business intelligence productsExperience delivering large‑scale technology product implementations where you owned the product vision and roadmap, collaborated across cross‑functional teams, and drove outcomes in complex environmentsExperience designing or managing modern cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, or similar) and associated data toolingStrong understanding of data and analytics concepts, such as data modeling, ETL/ELT, data warehouses/lakes, semantic layers, and BI/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar)Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into data product requirements and incremental, executable roadmaps with clear milestones and value along the wayComfort working with data hands‑on (e.g., writing queries in SQL, exploring data sets, partnering closely with engineers on technical trade‑offs)Experience in private equity, alternative investments, or financial services, or in data products that support investment, portfolio, or investor reporting, is strongly preferredExperience working within Agile or hybrid SDLC methodologies;
