Primary Skills: Marketing Automation Platforms (advanced), Campaign Production (advanced), QA Processes (advanced), Workflow Management (intermediate), SQL Queries (beginner) Contract Type: W2 Duration: 6+ Months Location: Remote Pay Range: $70 - $75 Per hour on W2 Job Summary: The Production & Tools Manager will own the end-to-end production operation that brings Policy Central campaigns from brief to launch. This role manages a team of production specialists, oversees production workflow, sets quality standards, plans capacity, and drives accountability across multi-channel communications (email, push, SMS, in-app, landing pages, forms, surveys). Additionally, this role serves as tool owner and educator for the team's marketing automation systems, maintaining templates, configurations, and cross-functional education. Key Responsibilities:Production Ownership & ExecutionOwn the production queue end-to-end: intake, prioritization, assignment, build, QA, and launch of campaigns across all supported channelsSet and enforce quality standards through structured QA processes (content accuracy, rendering, audience logic, suppression rules, personalization, targeting)Manage execution timelines, identify blockers early, and coordinate cross-team dependencies for on-time deliveryGather and validate requirements, translating ambiguous requests into clear, actionable production briefsApply compliance and privacy rules (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, preference center requirements) to every campaignAnticipate risks, escalate issues proactively, and propose mitigationsRecommend production strategy to improve efficiency and effectivenessCapacity Planning & Workflow ManagementForecast production capacity based on campaign volume, complexity, and team capabilityCreate and maintain forward-looking roadmaps for production operationsEstimate level of effort for incoming work and manage competing prioritiesDefine and optimize production workflow from intake through post-launch analysisTool Ownership & EducationServe as primary owner of marketing automation and production systemsOwn and maintain templates (audience, journey, reporting, creative)Map system capabilities and gaps, advocating for enhancementsDesign cross-team handoff architecture between Production, Campaign Strategy, Creative, Legal, AnalyticsEducate cross-functional teams on processes, capabilities, and best practicesCommunicate system changes, constraints, and recommendations to leadershipQuality & AccountabilityDrive a culture of ownership and accountability within the production operationDiagnose production issues methodically and implement lasting fixesMaintain and improve QA checklists, error-handling protocols, and fail-safe logic Must-Have Skills:5–7 years in marketing operations, campaign production, or production management in high-volume, multi-channel environmentExpert-level proficiency with enterprise marketing automation platforms (email, push, SMS, in-app, journey orchestration)Demonstrated expertise in campaign QA processes at high volumeExperience managing a high-volume, short-timeline digital communications production teamDeep knowledge of personalization logic and dynamic content for global, multi-language campaignsStrong understanding of compliance/privacy frameworks (GDPR, CAN-SPAM)Proven ability to manage production timelines, plan capacity, and allocate resources across concurrent workstreamsExperience defining scope, gathering requirements, and writing production briefsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills (technical and non-technical audiences)Strong structured problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of SQL (basic queries, filtering, joins)Experience managing vendor/contractor relationships Industry Experience:Marketing operations, campaign production, or comparable production management roleHigh-volume, multi-channel communications environmentEnterprise marketing automation platforms at scaleDigital communications production team managementGlobal, multi-language campaign experienceCompliance-driven regulatory or advocacy communications (preferred)Journey builder tools, automated lifecycle systems, trigger-based campaigns (preferred)Designing or improving production workflows and handoff processes (preferred)A/B testing frameworks and statistical significance interpretation (preferred) ABOUT AKRAYA Akraya is an award-winning IT staffing firm consistently recognized for our commitment to excellence and a thriving work environment.
