This can be a growth position and is an ideal role for those who wish to pursue a career in cooking.QualificationsBasic First Aid Certification requiredExperience working in a kitchen requiredMust be able to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to employment and work/live in a drug and alcohol free camp environment for up to 4 weeks at a timePersonal Attributes & SkillsHighly motivated to prepare fresh, tasteful, nutritious foodPositive, flexible and professional attitude at all timesCapable of working as part of a closely knit teamGood communication and interpersonal skillsGood organization and time management skillsProfessional image with good personal hygieneMust be able to lift, move, push, pull, and carry up to 25 lbsGood physical stamina; capable of working long hours on your feetMust be able to live in a remote camp environment for up to 4 weeks with a 2-week break, working up to 12-hour daysResponsibilities IncludePrepare a high volume of quality sandwiches, dailyWash, cut and prepare fruit and vegetables as requiredDemonstrate and ensure the use of proper knife skillsAssist with food service as requiredAssist to ensure food safety standards are met and maintained at all timesPractice safe work procedures and rectify and/or report any safety hazards immediatelyOrganize and assist with unloading and proper storage of grocery ordersAssist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup as neededEnsure all kitchen, food storage, and food service areas are maintained in a clean and orderly fashionAbout Summit CampsSummit Camps provides industry-leading workforce camp accommodations in remote locations.
