Senior Accountant
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will be able to successfully balance the intricacies of captive management for their assigned portfolio of captive insurance companies, including the bookkeeping, accounting, customer service, and regulatory compliance responsibilities. This will be done by developing an appropriate level of communication with clients, external 3rd party providers, regulators, and internal team members to provide a superior client experience.ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping and AccountingRecord all insurance policies, prepare premium invoices, and record premium paymentsRecord all operating expenses and make all expense paymentsRecord all claims reserves, adjustments, and paymentsRecord all entries relative to investments, loans, and distributionsPrepare monthly reconciliations for all bank and investment accountsPrepare quarterly and annual financial statementsAssist the CPAs with annual audits & tax related filingsAssist Actuaries with annual actuarial reserve opinionsClient ServicesCoordinate responses to all inbound client inquiries and requestsCalculate and provide amounts available for investment on a quarterly basisPrepare annual meeting agenda packages and attend annual meetingsTake and distribute annual meeting minutes for signatureMaintain accurate client records in the Agency Management System (AMS)Regulatory ComplianceCoordinate responses to all inbound regulatory inquiries and requestsPrepare and coordinate the filing of all Annual Reports, Audited Financials, Statements of Actuarial Opinion, and all other regulatory required documentsCoordinate the approval of all distribution and loan requestsCoordinate changes in business plan and other documents as neededQualificationsBA/BS in Accounting4-6 years of Accounting experience strongly preferredDemonstrated knowledge of GAAP and experience applying GAAP standardsStrong Excel skills, working knowledge of all Microsoft Office suiteExperience with QuickBooks a plusSalary: starting at $70,000 based on experience.Eligible for participation in the company's annual bonus program, employer paid health insurance, company sponsored retirement plan, 3 weeks PTO, and other voluntary benefit programs.Company DescriptionCIC Services, LLC is an award winning risk management and consulting firm, specializing in the formation and operation of captive insurance companies for our clients nationwide.
