Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is a key member in the accounting group and is responsible for account reconciliations, month-end close duties, sales and property tax returns, accounts payable assistance, process improvement, and budget and forecast. The position works closely with finance, maintenance, operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing.Type: In-PersonLocation: Knoxville, TX (Corporate)Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000/annualJob Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processManage, record, and reconcile fixed assetsCompile monthly financial statementsPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual balance sheet account reconciliationsResearch available guidance to determine proper treatment for accounting transactionsMonitor general ledger and other accounting records for accuracy and completenessAssemble material for annual audit and other compliance projectsProcess payment batches and support accounts payable function as neededPrepare and analyze complex financial reportsImplement and maintain internal financial controls and policiesConduct fluctuation analysis and provide related variance explanationsPrepare multi-state property and sales tax returns Support the annual budget and forecasting processesAdditional tasks, duties and special projects may be assigned, as necessaryEducation/Experience/Licenses/CertificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experienceCPA preferredKnowledge of Workday and Workday Adaptive PlanningSkills Required:Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbalPossess solid knowledge of GAAPThrives in a fast paced and changing environment; leads and controls multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to meet deadlines, multitask, and work under pressureDetailed-orientedPhysical Demands/Working Conditions:This is an in-office based role.
