Cloud Network Engineer

We are seeking a Cloud Network Engineer with 7+ years of experience to help design, implement, and support cloud and network infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with deep Microsoft Azure expertise and a strong foundation in networking.You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our client's environment while operating in a fast-paced setting with constantly evolving priorities.This is a six-month contract-to-hire role located in Franklin, TN. There may be some periodic travel to a location in Murfreesboro, TN as well. This is a hybrid role where you are in the office 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week.RESPONSIBILITIES:Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including virtual networks, compute, storage, and security configurationsAdminister and optimize Azure environments for performance, cost efficiency, and scalabilityConfigure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and routingSupport and enhance hybrid cloud networking architecturesImplement and manage network security controls and best practicesTroubleshoot and resolve complex cloud and network issues across environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support application and infrastructure initiativesDocument systems, processes, and solutions to ensure operational continuityAdapt quickly to shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-moving environmentREQUIREMENTS:7+ years of experience in cloud and/or network engineering rolesStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure administration and engineeringProven experience with:Virtual networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs, VPNs, ExpressRoute)Identity and access management (Azure AD)Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall managementExperience working in environments with changing priorities and competing demandsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and documentation skillsPREFERRED:Experience with Fortinet firewallsExperience with Cisco Meraki switches and networking solutionsBackground or exposure to cybersecurity principles and best practicesRelevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Fortinet NSE, CCNA/CCNP)NOTE: Sorry, we do not work with partners or do corp-to-corp.
