Project Technician
SUMMARY
Responsible for providing technical support on all specialized TubeMaster systems including software, firmware, communications, sensors, cabling, connectors, power supplies, supplies, parts, testing, evaluation and prototyping of electro mechanical systems useful for catalyst handling and related activities. Participate in domestic and international team projects for catalyst handling. Actively participate in growing TubeMaster’s capabilities to deploy and improve the world's fastest and best technologies for every aspect of catalyst-handling.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop new and improve existing software code for specialized TubeMaster products and services including support of existing devices.
· Conduct lab and field-testing studies to quantify, analyze and report on parameters used to develop and improve existing and new technologies.
· Create documentation and develop processes as needed to support computer/controller driven and supported Company systems.
· Assume responsibility for the care, storage, use, calibration of electronic test equipment and become fully knowledgeable in their use and application.
· Become fully capable to repair, preventative maintenance, service, troubleshoot, setup, configure, clean, store and ship equipment.
· Specify, acquire, construct, and operate mockups, prototypes, tests, models for electromechanical and other as needed.
· Participate in developing the budget model for internal Company projects as requested.
· Assist in development of support manuals as needed.
· Assume role of Test Technician for field projects.
· Travel as needed to and from client sites, both domestic and international.
REQUIREMENTS
· H.S. Diploma required. Associates Degree in Engineering preferred.
· Strong mechanical aptitude required.
· 1+ yrs of experience in technical support, engineering, or field operations
· Must be “hands on” and a creative/innovative thinker, constantly trying to come up with creative solutions
· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
· Must be a self-starter with a strong interest in learning new equipment, tools, systems, etc.
· Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
· Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs using safe lifting techniques.
· Ability to work within and meet all regulatory, safety compliance, and applicable OSHA requirements
· Ability to successfully pass safety training exams, background checks, drug screening, as well as obtain medical clearance for wearing respiratory protection.
· Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (including booster) and/or willing to obtain in the first 90 days.
· Must be willing to travel up to 20% (domestic and international) as needed for projects and be able to obtain a US Passport at the start of employment.
· Must demonstrate work schedule flexibility: ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and 12-hour shifts when deployed on or in support of a project
