Our reach is deep serving over 3,370 individuals from over 337 organizations in FY26 by providing: Education and Training Tools and Resources Consulting Services Collaboration Supports Initiative LeadershipPosition Summary - The Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence (NICNE) is seeking a full-time employee to coordinate the case management initiative. The in-person position is based in Rockford, Illinois at the NIU-Rockford campus. The employee will be a self-starter coordinating program operations, budgeting and reporting, annual grant review and updating, updating and developing case manager trainings and community resource events, recruiting participants and managing registration, enhancing agency-relations, training and recruiting case management trainers, creating the annual program impact video, designing and implementing a case management conference every three years, and managing the project evaluation process in collaboration with a professional research consultant. Position will coordinate programs and training for diverse professionals and operational oversight of a core program/project budget, reporting, and evaluation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Project/Initiative Management 50% Promote training and CoP to targeted nonprofits with case managers. Work with evaluation team to assess results of the initiative. Develop Community of Practice content and engage trainers/speaker. Develop annual budgets. Ensure timely submission of monthly reports and annual program financial reports and outcome summaries. Provide oversight of formal evaluation process in collaboration with professional research consultants. Create annual program impact video. Design, develop and implement the case management conference every three years. Work to keep programs on schedule and within stated budget. Support initiative growth and development. Address initiative inquiries. Engage with IRIS implementation team. Learn IRIS features to educate to case managers, as needed. Promote use of IRIS. Training/Event Management 30% Plan, implement and evaluate case management trainings. Design and develop internal program evaluation tools. Coordinate Community of Practice events. Determine Community of Practice schedules. Lead RACMI Steering Committee meetings. Stakeholder Relations 20% Build relationships between case managers, supervisors and agencies. Communicate with RACMI partners and training/CoP participants. Convene organizations and RACMI partners. Engage various partners and stakeholders in identifying training needs. Maintaining and expanding the contact list of human services providers. Building relationships with and between providers/leadership staff. Represent the RACMI and NICNE at various community events.Minimum Required Qualifications (Civil Service) - Please see the required Specialty Factors in the Specialty Factors (Civil Service) field below. Bachelor's degree. A total of one (1) year (12 months) in education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position. Based on position requirements, additional education, training, and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position, may be required. Note: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) (Civil Service) - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources Skill in analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. At least three (3) years of experience working with diverse human services agencies within Rockford region.
