Lead Java Developer
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Java Lead to join our team on-site in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on Java development expertise combined with the leadership skills to guide a team through design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications and microservicesProvide technical direction and mentorship to a team of developersCollaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutionsConduct code reviews and enforce best practices for code quality, performance, and securityOwn technical decision-making for assigned modules/projects, including architecture and design patternsTroubleshoot and resolve complex production issuesDrive adoption of CI/CD practices and contribute to DevOps pipeline improvementsEnsure timely delivery of project milestones in coordination with onsite/offshore teamsStay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systemsRequired Skills & Qualifications6-8 years of professional experience in Java/J2EE developmentStrong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Hibernate/JPASolid experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architectureHands-on experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL)Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ, or similar) is a plusProficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) preferredStrong understanding of design patterns, data structures, and system design principlesPrior experience leading or mentoring a development teamExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Work AuthorizationCandidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements (unless otherwise specified).Additional DetailsThis is an on-site position based in Phoenix, Arizona; candidates must be local or willing to relocateTarget start date: July 15
