Technical Program Manager – AHE Operations & AI EnablementLocation: Hybrid – Foster City, CA (Minimum 3 days onsite per week)Employment Type: Contract (3–6 Months)Pay Rate: $85–$91/hour (W2)Industry: Autonomous Mobility / Transportation TechnologyImportant Notes:No C2C engagement availableVisa sponsorship and visa transfer support are not available for this roleAbout the OpportunityA leading innovator in autonomous mobility technology is seeking a highly motivated Technical Program Manager to support Advanced Hardware Engineering (AHE) Operations and AI Enablement initiatives.This role will focus on driving operational excellence across engineering programs, including quarterly planning, budgeting, process optimization, and AI-driven productivity initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams spanning hardware, firmware, software, vehicle engineering, procurement, and manufacturing.The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at coordinating complex technical programs, and enjoys building scalable operational processes and AI-powered workflows.Key ResponsibilitiesLead quarterly planning cycles, budgeting activities, and operational improvement initiatives across Advanced Hardware Engineering teamsDrive process enhancements related to JIRA planning, issue management, reporting, and engineering workflowsSupport TPM operational frameworks that improve engineering efficiency, visibility, and system reliabilityDefine, develop, and roll out AI-powered automation tools that enhance productivity across engineering and TPM organizationsEnable workflow integrations across tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Slack, Google Workspace, and related platformsOwn and improve JIRA hygiene, issue tracking, and resolution metrics across cross-functional teamsPartner with engineering stakeholders to streamline firmware configuration management across multiple project phasesDevelop concise reports, dashboards, and executive-ready status updates highlighting program health, risks, dependencies, and milestonesFacilitate effective collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders to support successful program executionQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)6+ years of Technical Program Management experienceProven success leading complex cross-functional programs involving hardware and/or software developmentStrong understanding of end-to-end product development lifecycle and engineering operationsHands-on experience with project and program management tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, dashboards, Gantt charts, and risk tracking frameworksExperience working with AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and modern AI productivity toolsFamiliarity with AI-enabled development environments and workflows such as Cursor, Claude Code, Visual Studio Code, Windsurf, or similar toolsExcellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and strategic alignmentPreferred QualificationsExperience building or implementing AI-driven workflow automation solutions within enterprise or engineering environmentsBackground in operational program management, including budgeting, planning cycles, reporting, and process optimizationExperience supporting engineering organizations within automotive, robotics, hardware systems, or related technology industriesWhy Apply?This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge autonomous technology programs while helping shape scalable engineering operations and AI-enabled productivity initiatives within a highly collaborative environment.
