Apartment Maintenance TechnicianMountain View, CA 94041 (servicing Mountain View, Sunnyvale, and Santa Clara)POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance operations across a residential apartment portfolio. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, self-motivated, and experienced in apartment maintenance, repairs, and unit turnovers. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication with residents, team members, and vendorsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Deliver first-class customer service to residents and team membersPerform apartment turnover and make-ready tasks efficiently and to the company standardsConduct routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to plumbing, electrical, heating, and other building systemsPerform general facilities maintenance, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical workRepair and install household appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, and stovesSupervise and coordinate maintenance activities with vendors and other team members Schedule and manage vendor services as neededWork independently to identify, prioritize, and complete daily work ordersMaintain accurate maintenance records using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)Communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing Participate in on-the-job training and coaching to ensure company standards are metQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Previous experience in apartment maintenance or a similar field is requiredStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of plumbing and electrical systemsExperience with facilities maintenance preferredAbility to read and interpret schematics and technical manualsProficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitaskLeadership ability to oversee vendors and coordinate maintenance activitiesRequirements:Reliable personal vehicle required (compensation provided for work-related travel)Personal tools preferredAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionScheduleMonday–Friday, 8-hour shiftsRotating weekend emergency coverageBENEFITS:SIMPLE IRA retirement planSIMPLE IRA employer matchingHealth insurancePaid time offNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
