Short Term Worker - Streets

DescriptionAPPLICATION DEADLINE: Open Until FilledWork Schedule:Full-time/short term work, not to exceed 90 days worked (estimated May-August, 2026.) 10-hour shifts, 6:30am-5:30pm w/ a one hour lunch. Schedule and duration of the assignment may vary depending on operational needs.The City of Belgrade is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our Streets Division as Short Term Worker. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of public works and maintenance tasks that support the safety and upkeep of city infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Operate small equipment including ATVs, UTVs, skid steers, and lawnmowersPerform mowing and general landscape maintenanceClear irrigation ditches and drainage pathwaysAssist with asphalt patching and basic roadway repairPerform concrete flatwork (sidewalks, curbs, etc.)Install traffic and street signsPaint pavement markings and assist with traffic control tasksPerform various other duties as assignedRequirementsQualifications:Ability to safely operate and maintain small power equipmentWillingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to perform physical labor, including lifting and standing for extended periodsStrong work ethic and willingness to follow safety proceduresPrevious experience with construction, landscaping, or municipal maintenance is a plusMust be of legal age to perform the duties of this position (at least 18) and possess a valid driver's license
