Design Production Manager

This role provides leadership, training, quality oversight, and process improvement initiatives to ensure exceptional product quality, operational efficiency, and outstanding customer experiences. The Design Manager acts as a role model who inspires accountability, collaboration, and elevated company standards across the department.RESPONSIBILITIESAdvocate for team members/teamEnsure all Line Designers have the knowledge, tools, and materials needed to complete floral assignments successfullyPartner closely with the Creative Director to train and educate designers on menu items and design standardsCommunicate with the Creative Director and Flower Buyer regarding issues with menu items or product availabilityMonitor daily production with the goal of improving efficiency and minimizing overtimeImplement, review, and improve all design policies, procedures, and service standardsCreate work schedules for Line Designers and Design AssistantsCollaborate with other department leaders concerning product or service issuesProvide coaching and feedback, including formal corrective action when necessaryConduct annual performance reviewsMaintain accurate standing account spreadsheets and distribute standings with Creative Director inputDevelop processes and procedures to reduce COGS, including spot audits, waste reduction, and waste trackingRequirementsPrevious leadership or management experience in floral, production, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or service environmentsInfluencing, leading, and delegating abilitiesCritical thinking, decision making, and problem solving skillsExcellent verbal communication and listening skillsSelf-starter who is energetic, flexible, and adaptable in a fast-paced environmentDetail oriented with strong organizational skillsMaintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situationsConflict resolution and team development skillsWillingness to learn and adapt to the changing needs of a growing companyPrioritizes responsibilities to achieve resultsIdentifies additional tasks to be completed and willingly assists othersExcellent computer skills including MS Word and ExcelAbility to oversee quality control, inventory processes, and operational efficiency initiativesPhysical ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, reach, and handle floral product throughout the workdayStrong floral design background with exceptional creative talent, preferredFlexible schedule with availability to work weekends and holidaysTobacco-free workplace; adherence to company policy required during working hoursMust pass a drug test and background check
