Payroll Specialist

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $65,000 to $80,000 per year. Job Responsibilities:Process weekly and biweekly payroll independently in the payroll system and ensure all payments are accurate and on time.Handle wage garnishments by reviewing orders entering deductions and monitoring ongoing requirements.Process pre approved expense reimbursements by reviewing documentation checking accuracy and including amounts in payroll.Respond to employee payroll questions including more detailed inquiries and provide clear explanations.Maintain payroll compliance by following established procedures tracking prevailing wage activity and running standard reports as requested. Requirements:4+ years of hands on payroll processing experience with responsibility for multi state payroll.Use payroll systems confidently with experience in Paylocity considered helpful.Demonstrate intermediate skills in Excel including ability to review data and prepare simple reports.Maintain careful attention to detail and work independently with minimal oversight.Possess experience processing garnishments and understanding related requirements. Qualifications:Identify discrepancies or risks and escalate issues promptly to the appropriate team.Provide organized payroll support including documentation for audits and inquiries.Track prevailing wage information accurately and maintain supporting records.Resolve employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and clear communication.Meet deadlines consistently and maintain accuracy across all payroll tasks.REF#52030
