Today, the chefs of Upper Crust Food Service prepare tens of thousands of meals weekly for students across the country.About The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our Operations team. As a Line Cook, you will play an essential role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our food offerings. This full-time, hourly position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences. If you have a strong work ethic, love working as part of a team, and take pride in crafting delicious meals, we would love to hear from you!What You'll DoPrepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the menu and established recipes.Maintain a clean and organized work station in compliance with sanitation and food safety standards.Assist in the prep work for daily kitchen needs, including chopping, slicing, and other ingredient preparation.Collaborate closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service.Monitor food quality and ensure all dishes meet presentation and taste standards before serving.Manage kitchen inventory, assist with receiving and storing deliveries, and minimize food waste.Adhere to all kitchen procedures and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure customer satisfaction.QualificationsProven experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.Strong understanding of cooking methods, food preparation, and kitchen safety standards.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precision and attention to detail.Team-player mentality with excellent communication skills.Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.Physical stamina to handle long working hours and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting.Food Handler's certification or equivalent (preferred).Proficiency in English to follow instructions and communicate with team members effectively.
