Assembler – Second Shift
*Schedule:* Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
*Overtime:* Availability to work overtime, including weekends, is required.
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented *Assembler* to join our manufacturing team. Under general supervision, the Assembler combines subassemblies, manual parts, electrical components, and other related materials to complete a variety of products.
This position follows verbal instructions, written procedures, and blueprints to ensure all products meet established safety, quality, productivity, and specification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble subassemblies, manual parts, electrical components, and other materials.
* Follow blueprints, work instructions, procedures, safety sheets, and company policies.
* Perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining accuracy, quality, and productivity.
* Inspect completed work and promptly report quality defects, equipment problems, or safety concerns.
* Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient work area.
* Follow all safety, ergonomic, quality, and workplace organization practices.
* Learn and operate new processes, systems, tools, and equipment.
* Participate in training, cross-training, and continuous-improvement activities.
* Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments.
* Perform other related production and assembly duties as assigned.
Education
* High school diploma or GED preferred.
Qualifications
* Ability to consistently work the assigned schedule and meet overtime requirements, including weekends.
* Ability to read and understand instructions, procedures, policies, and safety information in English.
* Ability to understand and carry out verbal instructions in English.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
* Ability to perform repetitive work for extended periods.
* Willingness and ability to learn new processes, systems, and equipment.
* Ability to work effectively in a diverse, team-oriented environment.
* Willingness to cross-train, learn new skills, and advance to higher-level responsibilities.
* Ability to recognize and immediately report safety or quality concerns.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to frequently lift and carry between 10 and 50 pounds, depending on the site and product line.
* May occasionally be required to lift or carry between 50 and 75 pounds.
* Ability to perform prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, as required.
* Ability to reach, push, and pull while performing job duties.
* Strong grasping ability and manual dexterity.
* Ability to coordinate hand, eye, and foot movements.
* Vision and cognitive ability necessary to perform assembly work safely and accurately.
