This role partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Suppliers to evaluate manufacturing alternatives, develop business cases, and support data-driven decisions that optimize product cost, quality, and delivery performance throughout the product lifecycle.What You’ll Work OnBuild, maintain, and refine cost models and simulations to support design decisionsProvide data-driven insights and design alternatives to engineering teamsAssist in identifying cost-reduction opportunities through modeling, benchmarking, and analysisCollaborate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to gather inputs for model developmentDocument, present, and communicate findings to support stakeholder decision-makingSupport Cost Forensic activities, including value engineering, benchmarking, supplier workshops, negotiations, and Statements of WorkTrack and report basic performance metrics related to cost modeling initiativesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field3-5 years of relevant experience (internships or co-ops applicable)Experience with Automated - Assembly, Manufacturing or Packaging processes.Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skillsBasic project management and communication capabilitiesAbility to work effectively under the direction of senior engineers or project leadsPreferred QualificationsExperience developing and managing RFPs, technical specifications, and requirements documentation.Experience developing and managing Engineering Services Statements of WorkExposure to cost modeling, value engineering, or cost analysis methodologiesExperience working in cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, manufacturing)Familiarity with data analysis or simulation toolsInterest in supplier cost analysis, benchmarking, or negotiationsAbility to clearly communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholdersLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives : www.abbottbenefits.comFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
