We are searching for an experienced Controller to assist with our growth. So come join one of the fastest growing personal injury Law Firms in Chicago & Indiana.
Currently we have two full time bookkeepers who work remotely, who you will supervise and oversee. We are looking for someone with a growth mindset and a life long learner. We expect this position to grow into a CFO in the coming years as we continue to grow and expand.
Responsibilities within the department:
All daily financial operations and journal entries
Production of monthly financial statements and variance analysis
Management of customer invoicing and accounts receivable
Timely accounts payable cycles
Weekly cash flow forecasting
Employee payroll processing and governmental reporting
Weekly financial metrics and monthly financial statements
Bank account and credit card reconciliations
Annual 1099 process
Reporting for financial institutions
Applicant Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 5 years experience in accounting, AR, AP, payroll, and GL functions
Supervisory experience
Proficient with Quickbooks Online and Excel software
Knowledge of legal industry preferred
Knowledge of budget preparation, analysis and variance
Adaptable to change
Attention to details and strong organizational skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Professional friendly attitude in a team environment
Criminal history checks are completed on all financial candidates.
