A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year to cover a maternity leave. This contract role is based in Decatur, AL, within a school setting and requires 37.5 hours per week from August through October. This opportunity is ideal for licensed SLP professionals holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) with experience in school-based speech therapy.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLP licensure with CCC certification
Experience working in school environments
Ability to provide comprehensive speech and language therapy without support from Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, parents, and students
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language evaluations and interventions to K-12 students
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
Monitor student progress and adjust therapy approaches as necessary
Collaborate with school staff and families to support student communication goals
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and compliance with school policies
