As part of our multi-year data transformation journey, we are advancing enterprise Master Data Management, data quality, regulatory alignment, and AI-enabled capabilities to strengthen data-driven decision making across the organization.TheManager of Data Governanceplays a foundational leadership role in this transformation. Reporting to the Director of Data & Analytics, this individual will lead the execution and maturation of Carrix's enterprise Data Governance program, overseeing governance practices across core systems including ERP, HRIS, CRM, and the enterprise data platform.This role will help transition Carrix from fragmented, site-level data practices to a standardized, enterprise-wide governance model. By strengthening data ownership, quality, compliance, and AI readiness, the Manager will ensure our data is trusted, secure, and positioned to power operational excellence and future innovation.Lead and mature the enterprise Data Governance framework aligned to business and technology strategyOversee governance processes supporting Master Data Management (MDM) across ERP, HRIS, CRM, and data warehouse systemsStandardize master data domains (e.g., customers, vessels, equipment) to support a single version of truth across all facilitiesEstablish and monitor enterprise data quality standards, KPIs, and remediation workflows.Implement automated and AI-driven data quality monitoring to proactively detect and resolve anomaliesLead data lineage, metadata management, and cataloging efforts to improve transparency, traceability, and trustEnable AI readiness by ensuring data is structured, labeled, and governed to support analytics and machine learning initiativesEstablish governance guardrails for generative AI, including ethical guidelines, security controls, and responsible use of LLM technologiesAlign governance practices with regional and cross-border regulatory requirements across North and South AmericaCoach and develop a high-performing team of Data Governance Analysts while serving as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadersOther duties as assignedQualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum 5 years of experience in data governance or enterprise data managementDemonstrated experience with master data management (MDM) and enterprise data standardizationExperience designing, implementing, and managing data quality frameworks, including monitoring, reporting, and issue resolutionExperience with data lineage, metadata management, and data catalogingExperience enabling AI and advanced analytics initiatives through structured, governed data environments, with an understanding of AI governance, data ethics, and responsible AI principlesStrong knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, COBIT), including regulatory and compliance considerations related to data managementProven leadership experience, including leading, mentoring, and developing data professionals, with a track record of building and growing teamsAbility to translate governance concepts into scalable, operational enterprise processesStrong communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence and engage technical teams, operational leaders, and senior executives across business and ITExperience working with enterprise systems such as ERP, HRIS, CRM, and cloud data platformsFamiliarity with data governance and MDM tools (e.g., Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or similar)Experience operating in multi-regional or cross-border regulatory environmentsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing initiatives in evolving and transformational environmentsHigh level of accountability, integrity, and professional maturityITIL certification required (or within 90 days of employment)Supervisory Responsibilities:YesWork environment:Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment.Exposure to computer screens.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderateWe are Equal Opportunity Employer BenefitsEligible employees (and their families) may qualify for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as having basic life and accidental death insurance, paid disability insurance, including paid parental leave if eligible, and an Employee Assistance Program.
