TRADESWORKER [FLSA: non-exempt; SHIFT: Days, evenings, call backs]
Maintains and provides needed repair and maintenance to facility buildings, equipment and operational systems, including electrical control and HVAC refrigeration. Performs maintenance work on heating and air conditioning systems, checking thermostats, couplers, fuses, belts, motors, etc.; Performs skilled work (varying voltage up to 480) in the replacement of faulty switches, sockets, plugs, fuses, insulators, and other minor electrical work. Works with pump and motor systems. Installs and repairs electrical systems, lighting, etc. in routine and emergency situations. Performs carpentry work to include framing, installing drywall, installing windows, hanging doors and installing hardware. Sands, paints or stains walls, woodwork, cabinets, tables, and other wooden articles. Performs basic plumbing maintenance and repair. Operates City vehicle to and from assigned work locations to diagnose and assess problems/defects, needed supplies/parts, and takes corrective action as required.
