Project Manager – Offsite Mechanical Construction / Modular SystemsA leading engineering and construction organization specializing in off-site constructed (OSC) mechanical systems is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex industrial and mission-critical projects from concept through completion.This role oversees all phases of modular mechanical equipment projects including central utility plants, mechanical equipment rooms, modular data centers, and custom air handling systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and project execution capabilities across engineering, fabrication, and field installation.The Project Manager serves as the primary client contact and is responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams, schedules, budgets, subcontractors, procurement, and project delivery.Key Responsibilities• Lead project execution from design development through fabrication, installation, startup, and closeout • Facilitate project kickoff meetings and coordinate internal and external stakeholders • Manage interdisciplinary engineering and design teams to meet deliverable deadlines • Coordinate fabrication drawing development and manufacturing activities • Transition projects from estimating into fabrication and field installation phases • Identify and implement value engineering opportunities with project teams and clients • Monitor project budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting throughout project lifecycle • Procure equipment and materials while ensuring accurate and timely deliveries • Manage vendor relationships and warranty compliance • Coordinate subcontractors and field operations to maintain schedule and quality objectives • Develop and maintain project schedules and workforce planning • Review and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and requests for payment • Oversee development of operating and maintenance manuals and as-built documentation • Ensure compliance with contract specifications, safety programs, OSHA requirements, and applicable building codes • Attend client meetings and provide regular project status updates • Deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to defined quality standardsQualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred • Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree • 5+ years of experience in Industrial HVAC, energy services (ESCO), central utility/refrigeration plants, design-build construction, or energy efficiency projects • 5+ years of project management experience in construction or mechanical systems • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously • Strong understanding of construction practices, fabrication processes, and project delivery • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards • Experience with scheduling and project management software • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Revit experience is a plus • Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Experience• Mission-critical or data center construction • Modular or offsite manufacturing environments • Mechanical equipment skids or packaged systems • Industrial or large-scale commercial mechanical construction
