This role focuses on structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis of ruggedized defense systems, from concept through validation.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical and electronic packaging solutionsPerform structural, thermal, static, and dynamic analysisConduct shock and vibration analysis for ruggedized systemsSupport design for manufacturability (DFM) and production readinessCreate and maintain engineering drawings, models, and technical documentationCollaborate with cross-functional teams across design, manufacturing, and systems engineeringSupport testing, validation, and verification of mechanical systemsPerform root cause analysis and engineering problem resolutionParticipate in design reviews and technical evaluationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field2+ years of relevant experience (or Master's with 6+ months)Experience with mechanical design and analysis principlesKnowledge of engineering documentation standards and proceduresExperience working with cross-functional engineering teamsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsPreferred Skills:Experience with CAD tools (Creo, 2D/3D modeling)Experience with ANSYS for structural analysisExperience with MATLAB/Simulink for dynamic simulationKnowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methodsExperience in defense, aerospace, or undersea systemsStrong technical writing and documentation skillsWhy Join CPI?For over 40 years, Contract Professionals, Inc.
