Through integrated software platforms, strategic consulting, on-site execution, and real-time oversight, MAC Safety helps clients mitigate risk and unlock growth opportunities.Role Description The Safety Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Altoona, KS, responsible for leading and coordinating safety programs across the facility and field operations. This role oversees day-to-day safety activities, including conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety regulations, standards, and company policies. The Safety Manager develops and delivers safety training, maintains safety documentation and records, and supports incident and accident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions. In collaboration with operational leaders, this position implements and monitors safety initiatives, drives continuous improvement, and promotes a strong safety culture. The Safety Manager also serves as a primary point of contact for safety-related questions, audits, and regulatory interactions.Qualifications Strong foundation in Occupational Health and Environment Health and Safety (EHS), with experience applying regulatory requirements and best practices in industrial or field environments.Demonstrated ability to deliver effective Safety Training, including developing materials, leading classes, and coaching team members at all levels.Hands-on experience in Accident Investigation, including incident reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.Knowledge of Industrial Safety principles, risk assessment methods, and hazard control strategies in operational or construction settings.Familiarity with relevant OSHA and other safety regulations; professional certifications (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST) are a plus.Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner with cross-functional teams.Proven ability to work on-site in a dynamic environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and lead safety initiatives with minimal supervision.Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
