Construction Project Manager Location: Dallas, TexasDirect-HireOur client, a large natural gas utility company serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers, is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a direct-hire role in Dallas.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and supply chain background, with experience managing agreements for construction services. This individual will partner with Risk and Operations teams to identify safety, operational, and business risks within the construction services category, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure compliance, service continuity, and cost control.Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate, persuade, and influence stakeholders at all levels on complex and technical mattersProficiency in reporting and statistical analysis, including ratios, percentages, and basic statistical methodsAdvanced knowledge of software applications for spreadsheets, reporting, financial analysis, and presentations (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)Experience negotiating with vendors and building relationships to ensure positive project outcomes. Experience managing construction projects, overseeing schedules, coordinating vendors, etc. Experience with integrated purchasing and inventory systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platformsAbility to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliersWhat You Will Be DoingDevelop and lead enterprise-wide category strategies aligned with corporate objectives, leveraging market intelligence, supplier insights, and cross-functional collaborationDrive strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFPs and RFQs, to optimize value and support business goalsBuild and manage strong supplier relationships, ensuring high performance through evaluation, continuous improvement, and strategic negotiationsLead complex contract development and pricing strategies to support long-term organizational objectivesEnsure compliance with company policies and industry regulations while maintaining accurate documentation of procurement activitiesUtilize digital tools and analytics to track supplier performance and improve decision-makingDrive cost optimization and operational efficiency through innovative sourcing strategies, supplier consolidation, and process improvements Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
