Supervisor, Store Planning and Design
GENERAL PURPOSE: Manage and lead one to four Store Planners, with the design & development of store plans for new stores or capital projects in existing stores. This includes fixture plans, merchandise plans, signage plans, and construction documents. Provide Store Operations with quantified data analysis on merchandise units, sales, and store specific capacity as requested. Present floor plan proposals and analysis to senior management for approval. Ensure high quality controls are in place for plan checks. Work closely with Manager to further the development of guidelines and tools to enhance the Special Projects process, ensuring on time completion with high quality. Communicate with key business partners such as LP, Store Design, Construction, Purchasing, Merchandising, and Store Operations Initiatives in all phases of the Special Project process from inception to completion. Must be able to travel to stores and execute site surveys and walk throughs on occasion. The base salary range for this role is $77,900 to $117,050. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Build and maintain project schedule(s) and provide consistent, comprehensive weekly status updates to the Manager, Store Planning & Design • Manage projects as required by Store Operations including presentation of work and new concepts designs to senior leadership • Coordinates resource allocation and assignment of all projects within the team • Oversees the development of plans and documents for assigned projects • Communicates and interacts with the team to provide leadership, guidance and ensures projects are executed accurately within company standards • Partner cross functionally across multiple shared projects, often happening simultaneously • Collaborate with the New Store team to manage the design and documentation of all new fixturing blocks and design details COMPETENCIES: People• Building Effective Teams • Developing Talent • Collaboration Self• Leading by Example • Communicates Effectively • Ensures Accountability and Execution • Manages Conflict Business• Business Acumen • Plans, Aligns and Prioritizes • Organizational Agility QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED • Minimum 5 years of experience in Space Planning using AutoCAD software • Minimum 2 years of experience leading projects and/or people in a Store Planning related field • 4-year degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design related field or equivalent preferred • Expertise with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word, as well as Teams • Strong organizational skills and precise attention to detail • Effective communication with excellent follow up skills • Must have a keen understanding of construction practices and architectural standards PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA: Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically. This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback.
