Performance Architect - Performance TestingLocation : Plano, TXResponsibilities:Design, develop, and execute performance and load testing strategies for containerized applications.Identify performance bottlenecks in applications, infrastructure, and container orchestration platforms.Analyze performance test results, provide detailed insights, and recommend actionable improvements.Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline.Develop and maintain performance testing frameworks and tools.Monitor application and system performance in production and pre-production environments.Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in performance engineering and containerization.Contribute to the continuous improvement of performance testing processes and methodologies. Required Skills andQualifications:Containerization Technologies:Deep understanding of Docker, including container image creation, optimization, and management.Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.Familiarity with container networking concepts and best practices.Experience with container security best practices and vulnerability scanning.Chaos EngineeringMainframe HostExperience:CICSIMSDB2Performance Testing & Analysis:Proven experience in designing and executing performance, load, stress, and soak testing.Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, K6, Artillery, or similar.Ability to analyze performance test results, identify root causes, and provide actionable recommendations.Experience in performance tuning and optimization of applications and infrastructure.Monitoring & Observability:Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools (e.g., Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics).Familiarity with observability platforms and tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk).Experience in collecting and analyzing metrics, logs, and traces for performance troubleshooting.Cloud TechnologiesAWSLambdaSoftware Development & DevOps:Strong programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Shell scripting).Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience integrating performance tests into pipelines.Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and microservices.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).Problem-Solving & Communication:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
