Lead Software Engineer – Node.js & React.js

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications and APIs using Node.js.Develop and integrate responsive, user-friendly frontend components using React.js to deliver exceptional user experiences.Build, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring production-grade scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.Contribute to solution architecture, microservices design, system integration, and application performance optimization.Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, automated build processes, testing frameworks, and deployment strategies.Design and maintain database solutions using both SQL and NoSQL technologies, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, performance tuning, backup, and high-availability configurations.Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, code reviews, and adherence to software engineering best practices.Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.Provide production support, troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement performance improvements.Utilize Python (basic to intermediate level) for backend services, automation scripts, integrations, and data-processing tasks.Follow secure coding practices and contribute to application reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.Required Technical SkillsBackend DevelopmentStrong expertise in Node.js, Express.js, or equivalent backend frameworks.Extensive experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and backend performance optimization.Frontend DevelopmentHands-on experience with React.js, including component-based architecture, state management, hooks, and modern frontend development practices.Experience building responsive and cross-browser compatible user interfaces.Database TechnologiesStrong understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Cassandra, etc.).Experience in database schema design, query optimization, indexing, replication, and performance tuning.DevOps & CI/CDExperience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git, and branching strategies.Architecture & MicroservicesStrong understanding of Microservices Architecture, distributed systems, service communication patterns, and API gateway concepts.Experience designing scalable and fault-tolerant applications.Python Development (Preferred)Working knowledge of Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar technologies.Experience developing APIs, automation scripts, and backend integrations using Python is an added advantage.Containerization & CloudExperience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Understanding of cloud-native application development and deployment practices.Preferred QualificationsProven years of experience in Full Stack Development.Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Strong understanding of software design patterns, coding standards, and development best practices.Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and application performance management tools is a plus.Key CompetenciesFull Stack Development (Node.js & React.js)API Design & IntegrationPython DevelopmentMicroservices & Distributed SystemsSQL & NoSQL DatabasesCI/CD & DevOps PracticesDocker & KubernetesAzure / GCP Cloud PlatformsPerformance OptimizationProblem Solving & TroubleshootingCollaboration & TeamworkSecure Coding PracticesWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
